About the Foundation
Obaasima Rita Foundation was founded in 2020 by Rita Amoakoaa, a compassionate and visionary leader driven by a strong desire to give back to society and uplift the less privileged.
What began as a personal mission to support those in need quickly grew into something greater, as other passionate and like-minded women joined her along the journey. Together, they formed a united team committed to making a meaningful difference in their communities.
Today, the foundation has grown into a fully registered non-governmental organization (NGO), which reflects its commitment to accountability, transparency, and structured impact.
With a shared vision to go beyond charity, the foundation focuses on creating lasting change—combining acts of kindness with sustainable solutions that improve lives over time.
Over the years, Obaasima Rita Foundation has evolved into a platform that blends compassion with impact. From providing essential needs such as food and clothing to implementing long-term initiatives like boreholes and community development projects, the foundation continues to bring hope and transformation to many.

Founder and President
Rita Amoakoaa, affectionately known as Emprez, is the Founder and President of the Obaasima Rita Foundation. She is a dedicated humanitarian whose passion for giving back to society led to the establishment of the foundation in 2020.
Rita is a business woman and a hardworking professional ordinarily resident in Italy. Despite her commitments abroad, she remains deeply connected to her roots in Ghana and is committed to supporting vulnerable communities.
Through her leadership, the foundation has grown into a platform that not only provides relief but also creates sustainable opportunities for individuals and communities to thrive. Her vision continues to inspire hope, empowerment, and lasting change.
Vice President
Ernestina Nyame serves as the Vice President of the Obaasima Rita Foundation. She is a compassionate and dedicated caregiver, currently working in a healthcare facility in the United States, where she resides.
With a strong commitment to service and humanity, Ernestina plays a key role in supporting the foundation’s mission of empowering underprivileged communities. Her experience in caregiving reflects her deep empathy and passion for improving the well-being of others, both locally and internationally
Queen Mother
Jennifer Owusu Ansah is a strong and inspiring leader within the Obaasima Rita Foundation, serving as its Queen Mother and representing the President in Ghana. She plays a vital role in ensuring that the foundation’s mission is actively carried out at the community level.
Based in Kumasi, she is a talented beautician , as well as a proud business owner. Through her work, she empowers others with confidence and self-worth.
Secretary
Rosina Owusuaa Boakye is a dedicated servant of humanity and the Secretary of the Obaasima Rita Foundation. Based in the United Kingdom, she works as a caregiver in a hospital, providing essential care and comfort to those in need.
Driven by compassion and a heart for service, Rosina extends her impact beyond her professional role—supporting life-changing initiatives that uplift vulnerable communities. Her commitment, both in healthcare and within the foundation, reflects a deep passion for making a meaningful difference in people’s lives
Assistant Secretary
Angelina Owusu is a creative force and dedicated team member of the Obaasima Rita Foundation, serving as Assistant Secretary. Based in Greater Accra, Ghana, she is a talented fashion designer and business owner, using her skills to inspire confidence and empowerment.
Beyond her entrepreneurial journey, Angelina is passionate about making a difference in her community. Through her role in the foundation, she contributes her time, creativity, and energy to initiatives that uplift and support those in need.
Organizer
Constance Opoku serves as an Organizer for the Obaasima Rita Foundation. She is based in Germany, In her role as Organizer, Constance is actively involved in planning and coordinating the foundation’s programs and events. Her dedication, teamwork, and commitment to service contribute significantly to the successful execution of the foundation’s initiative
Assistant Organizer
Phyllis Binney is a passionate and hardworking member of the Obaasima Rita Foundation, serving as Assistant Organizer. Based in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, she is a skilled caterer and a proud business owner of a bakery in Abuakwa, Kumasi.
With a heart for service and a talent for creativity, Phyllis brings both warmth and excellence to everything she does. Whether through her culinary craft or her role in organizing impactful programs, she is committed to making a difference in the lives of others.
2nd Assistant Organizer
Theresa Afriyie is a committed and dynamic member of the Obaasima Rita Foundation, serving as the 2nd Assistant Organizer. As a businesswoman and trader in Kumasi, Ghana, she embodies resilience, determination, and a strong work ethic.
Driven by a passion to serve and uplift others, Theresa plays an active role in organizing programs that bring hope and support to communities in need. Her dedication to both her business and humanitarian efforts reflects a powerful balance of purpose and perseverance
Financial Secretary
Rebecca Osei Assibey is a woman of integrity, faith, and service, serving as the Financial Secretary of the Obaasima Rita Foundation. As a businesswoman in Kumasi, she brings diligence and discipline to her role, ensuring that resources are managed responsibly to support life-changing initiatives.
Beyond her professional life, Rebecca is a devoted church mother (Asafomaame) at a Great Chapel in Mamponteng,(Kumasi) where she plays a vital role in spiritual guidance and community support.
Her life is a reflection of faith in action—combining leadership, compassion, and accountability to make a meaningful difference. Through her work, she helps ensure that every contribution translates into real impact, touching lives and strengthening communities
Assistant Financial Secretary
Flora Efua Mensah is a dedicated healthcare professional and committed member of the Obaasima Rita Foundation, serving as Assistant Financial Secretary. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Nurse in the Ghana Health Service, she has devoted her career to caring for others and improving lives. Her passion for service extends beyond the healthcare setting into humanitarian work, where she plays a key role in ensuring that resources are managed effectively to support impactful initiatives
Foundation Mother
Joyce Ansah Manfowaa is the heart and motherly figure of the Obaasima Rita Foundation, serving as its Akuo Maame. Based in the United States, she works as a caregiver in a hospital, dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and love.
Her role within the foundation goes beyond a title—she embodies warmth, wisdom, and guidance. As a mother figure, she nurtures both the team and the mission, helping to build a strong foundation rooted in unity, care, and purpose.
